Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information ChalkEdge Sports ("ChalkEdge," "we," "us") collects when you use chalkedge.bet, chalkedgesports.com and related services (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: we collect only what we need to run your account and the Service, and we do not sell your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

• Account details: your email address and password. Passwords are handled by our login provider (Supabase) and stored in scrambled (hashed) form; we never see your actual password.
• Support messages: anything you send to support@chalkedge.bet.

Payment Information

• Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details directly; we never receive or store your full card number. We receive only limited billing information from Stripe, such as a customer ID, subscription status and renewal date.

Information Collected Automatically

• Usage and device data: basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps, recorded in server logs by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
• Login storage: when you log in, your browser stores a login token (in local storage) so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to ad networks.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and secure your account and let you log in.
• To process your membership, renewals and cancellations, and to turn dashboard access on or off.
• To provide, maintain and improve the Service, and to fix problems.
• To respond to support requests and send important account emails (for example, confirmations, password resets and billing notices).
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, account sharing and scraping.
• To comply with legal obligations.

If we ever send marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email.

3. How We Share Information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run ChalkEdge, under agreements that limit their use of it:

• Stripe – payments and billing
• Supabase – accounts, login and our database
• Vercel – website hosting
• Cloudflare – domain and email forwarding
• Google Fonts – loads the fonts on our pages (Google receives your IP address when fonts load)

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business (in which case this policy would continue to apply). We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. How Long We Keep Information

We keep account information while your account is open. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable time, except where we must keep certain records (for example, payment and tax records) for legal or accounting purposes.

5. Security

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and database security rules to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

6. Your Choices and Rights

• Access, correction and deletion: you can ask us for a copy of your personal information, to correct it, or to delete your account by emailing support@chalkedge.bet from the email on your account.
• Billing: you can update your card or cancel anytime from your Account page.
• State privacy rights: depending on where you live (for example, California, Texas, Virginia, Colorado and other states with privacy laws), you may have additional rights, such as to know what we collect, request deletion, correct information, and not be discriminated against for using these rights. We honor these requests as required by law. We may need to verify your identity first.

7. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18 (or under the legal age for sports wagering or DFS research where they live). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Users

ChalkEdge is based in the United States and our providers may process information in the U.S. and other countries. By using the Service you understand your information may be processed there.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or on the Service.
